Nassiba Idebdou

Team Leader, Intelligence Sector ,FINTRAC

Nassiba Idebdou is a Team Leader within the Intelligence Sector at the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) and leads the team responsible for producing targeted operational and strategic financial intelligence. Mrs. Idebdou has extensive knowledge, subject matter expertise and experience in national security, anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing, and financial technologies, particularly cryptocurrencies. Mrs. Idebdou has provided expertise to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime relating to cryptocurrencies, emerging financial technologies and anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing matters. Mrs. Idebdou has previously held various positions within the Canadian federal government working in policy, funding agreements, procurement and public finance. Mrs. Idebdou holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Public and International Affairs from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Ottawa and is a Recipient of the Lieutenant Governor General of Quebec Bronze Medal (2012).
